Multimatic's Mechanisms group is a world leader in the application of advanced automation to the manufacture of automotive body hardware mechanisms. State-of-the-art high volume stamping, machining and assembly capabilities facilitate the manufacture of a wide range of hinge types.

Underground scrap removal, quick change tooling standardization and a "back to back" press arrangement combine to make Multimatic's divisions truly world class. The automated assembly lines utilize pick and place robotics, linear transfer systems, component bowl feeding, distributed computer control and imbedded checking of all dimensional and functional performance to not only reduce labour but also assure that every part built meets Multimatic's rigorous quality standards.

The in-house quality and product verification labs are equipped with fully programmable coordinate measuring machines (CMM), a host of purpose built functional testing equipment and walk-in environmental chambers capable of undertaking all internationally mandated product testing.
